Strengthen the innovation, influence and strategic impact of the creative and cultural industries
Creative District works with public and private institutions to position CCIs as key players in economic and institutional decision-making, by strengthening their influence and their ability to seize strategic opportunities.
STRENGTHEN INNOVATION AND IMPACT OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
- Design: product, service, architecture, urban planning
- Creative tech: data-visualisation, medtech, edtech
- Sustainability: eco-design, circular economy, responsible tourism, etc.
- Digital: video games, XR/AR, platforms, creative AI
Why CCI needs institutional influence ?
The creative and cultural industries represent a fast-changing economic sector that is still struggling to gain the recognition it deserves in political and economic decision-making. Faced with technological transformations, changing patterns of cultural consumption and new societal challenges, the CCIs need strong institutions capable of anticipating change, structuring long-term strategies and making their voice heard in decision-making circles.
This lack of understanding of the true scope of CCIs is holding back their development:
decision-makers still think "culture = museums and theatres", whereas CCIs generate 4.4% of European GDP and include ultra-dynamic sectors such as gaming (bigger than cinema + music combined), digital platforms (streaming, social media), XR/AR (immersive devices), eco-design and social innovation.
Our mission is to gain recognition for the CCI as a complete innovation ecosystem that combines creativity, technology, sustainability and social impact, to ensure the sustainable and strategic development of the creative and cultural industries, by strengthening their resilience and ability to adapt to institutional and economic change. We help institutions to transform their vision of the CCI into a genuine strategy of influence, and to create the right conditions for innovation and economic emancipation in the sector.

Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) have become one of the major drivers of the global economy.
Their economic weight and job creation capacity are now widely recognized, prompting policymakers to support their development.
Creative District is developing a hybrid incubator-hub methodology with a bottom-up approach that guarantees the relevance and effectiveness of our institutional interventions. Our fine expertise and in-depth knowledge of sectoral issues come directly from our incubation work with creative entrepreneurs and local communities.
